What does the device look like?

Vivo iQOO Pro has an attractive appearance: the back surface is made of curved 2.5D glass, on which there is a gradient pattern. The pattern is a set of lines, located on both sides of the body, at an angle of approximately 60 degrees, moving towards each other. The phone will be available in 3 color options: black ("racing") and two shades of blue ("phantom" and "ghost").

The beautiful back cover houses a three-module main camera and a flash under it. There is the iQOO logo at the bottom (in the Vivo iQOO Pro 5G version, the 5G icon is added above the logo). So that users and those around them do not forget that there is a real monster in front of them, the manufacturers have made the inscription “MONSTER INSIDE” in the middle, which glows with diodes.

The front side of the device consists of a large screen that occupies about 83.9% of the usable area, screen frames, a front camera in a drop-shaped notch, an earpiece above the camera, light and proximity sensors.

On the right side, in addition to the power and volume buttons, there are touch triggers that provide convenient control of the index fingers while playing. Also, pressing the triggers runs:

The built-in, non-removable lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 4,500 mAh is responsible for autonomous operation. For active games, this capacity will not always be enough, so manufacturers have added a 44W high-speed charging function. In just 17 minutes, the charge level rises to 50%, and for 100% it takes half an hour.

In addition to the button responsible for unlocking and powering, the device can be unlocked with a fingerprint scanner built into the display. Manufacturers assure that the built-in sensor differs from others in its area, which has doubled and in recognition speed - the sensor responds 50% faster. The face recognition function (FaceID) also works.

CPU

As mentioned above, a smart and reliable processor with a seven nanometer technical process - Qualcomm SDM855 Snapdragon 855 Plus is responsible for the performance of the smartphone. An improved version of the Snapdragon 855 has been designed specifically for gaming smartphones and flagships.

The Snapdragon 855 Plus is powered by a three-cluster scheme that includes Kryo 485 cores, where one high-performance 2.94 GHz core, three 2.42 GHz cores, and four 1.8 GHz cores. The maximum frequency of 2.96 GHz provides a performance increase of 4.2% compared to the Snapdragon 855. The graphics processing speed is also increased by 15%, due to the installed Adreno 640 chip, which reaches 700 MHz.

Cooling system

When buying a smartphone for games, the main criteria for choosing buyers are high performance, good autonomy and the presence of a cooling system. Opposite the first two requirements, you can put a tick, since the new product meets the requirements. As for the third point, here too Vivo iQOO Pro will delight gamers. Onboard is an advanced carbon fiber and liquid cooling system.

Interface

Vivo iQOO Pro runs on Android 9.0 Pie and Funtouch OS 9 with monster ui shell. Optimized for gaming and maximum usability, the interface includes many useful features, including:

• the presence of a communication box with the ability to scroll from bottom to top;
• having an option for long screenshot and security center;
• eye protection by changing the color temperature of the screen;
• the presence of new icons and voice assistant;

Smartphone display - Super AMOLED, with a diagonal of 6.41 inches (area 100.9 cm2) and a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. The matrix supports Full HD + resolution. The screen is protected from scratches and has a 2.5D glass.

At the moment, there are only two photos on the net taken with the Vivo iQOO Pro. Unfortunately, the size of the photographs does not allow making accurate conclusions about their quality, but on the whole, a very pleasant picture is formed, in the literal and figurative sense.

5G signal reception

Vivo iQOO Pro 5G boasts perfect signal quality. Usually four antennas are installed in smartphones. In Vivo iQOO Pro 5G, the developers were able to install as many as six antennas. The device has a total of twelve antennas. In order to exclude possible signal deterioration due to finding the smartphone in the hands, the developers have placed four antennas at the top of the screen and two at the bottom.
