08/20/2019 young but prolific Chinese brand Realme has unveiled the fourth generation of smartphones. And, of course, according to the established tradition of manufacturers from the Middle Kingdom, superstitiously referring to the number 4, the new model received the index "5".
The presented Realme 5 is a mid-range youth smartphone. Its main trump cards are a quad camera and a 5000 mAh battery. Details about the features and technical capabilities of the new model will be presented in this article.

Features of external design

Visually, the beginner makes a good impression. The external design corresponds to modern trends: the smartphone is full-screen with minimal bezels of the front panel, the polycarbonate body of the classic configuration has slightly rounded edges and a teardrop notch. Color scheme - catchy paint with gloss. You can choose one of the options in accordance with your individual taste preferences: crystal blue (Crystal Blue) or crystal purple (Crystal Purple).

The overall dimensions of the gadget weighing 198 g meet the following parameters:

The only drawback can be seen in the lack of fast charging. The package includes a standard adapter, the power of which corresponds to 10 W, so the smartphone will charge for a long time. Moreover, a classic microUSB port is provided for charging, in contrast to the flagship Realme 5 pro, which owns the newer USB-C technology. In addition, the advanced pro model is equipped with a fast charging function (which is not inherent in this model), but at the same time with a smaller battery capacity (only 4035 mAh).

Cameras

The rear panel of the smartphone boasts four rear cameras. The main module has a resolution of 12 MP with an aperture of f / 1.8. Optional - includes an 8MP sensor and an ultrawide f / 2.25 Ultrawide lens with viewing angles up to 119 °. In addition, there is a sensor for macro photography at 2 MP and f / 2.4, as well as a sensor for determining the depth of the scene with a resolution and aperture similar to the previous sensor (2 MP and f / 2.4).

Such opportunities contribute to the realization of maximum space coverage, picture detail and high image quality.

The main camera is equipped with a LED flash, records panoramic shots, and has applications that support a high dynamic range. It also has the ability to record video in 1080p @ 30fps and 2160p @ 30fps. Based on the above comparison, it turns out that the 5 model is slightly inferior to the 5 pro modification, although this difference may not have a significant effect on the quality of the images.
