Nubia Z20 smartphone - advantages and disadvantages

On August 8, Nubia will officially present its new brainchild of the premium segment - Nubia NX627J, aka Nubia Z20. The smartphone has received a number of features that will attract the attention of many users. The novelty is equipped with two screens, an incredibly powerful processor and a video card, and the smartphone also shows good results in autonomy and the quality of the photos taken.

Usually, even before the official presentation of smartphones, a lot of insider information is provided about their appearance, parameters and characteristics, which completely coincides with the official description. But the Nubia Z20 is somewhat different, and, unfortunately, there is not so little information about the new product, plus it has some contradictions. Therefore, some parameters and characteristics in the review may differ from the data that will be provided after the official presentation of the novelty.

Memory and cost

The Nubia Z20 will not have an additional slot for expanding memory, but this is not necessary, since the phone can be purchased in one of three RAM options - 6, 8 or 12 GB, as well as in one of 3 internal memory - 128. 256 or 512 GB.

As far as we know, the 6GB + 128GB version will cost about $ 500, the 8GB + 256GB version will cost about $ 600, and the third version 12GB + 512GB will cost about $ 800.

Cameras

The exact location and number of cameras is still unknown. Various versions of images of the future flagship were leaked from Nubia to the network. Initially, it was assumed that the main screen will have a 16 megapixel front camera, and the secondary one will have a dual-module rear camera with a resolution of 48 megapixels and 16 megapixels.

But the latest inside information indicates that there will be no front camera, and a triple module will be located on the rear side in a horizontal position, presumably with the following characteristics:

1. The main camera with an aperture of f / 1.6, a ½ sensor, a width of 26 mm and a pixel of 0.8 microns will have a resolution of 48 megapixels;
2. The second, with a resolution of 16 megapixels, will most likely be expressed by an ultra-wide-angle lens;
3. The third with 8 megapixels will work as a telephoto lens.

The specs indicate that the lack of a front-facing camera won't frustrate consumers, as the triple dual-LED flash module located on the secondary screen will take a high-quality self-portrait.

Based on several photos posted on the Internet, taken by the co-founder of Nubia in Chile, one can draw conclusions about the incredible photo capabilities of the device's cameras. Photos indicate the presence of a super night mode. When applied, the user will be able to get a bright and clear photo, both in poor lighting and at night. Also, the photos taken speak of the macro mode. The photo shows a sheet, when using macro photography, you can clearly see the smallest details.

Front Panel

In the previous model Nubia X, manufacturers were able to achieve the effect of an invisible screen when it fades. Visually it looked like it was just a glass back panel. Most likely, the Nubia Z20 will adhere to the same technology.

Side faces

The ends of the smartphone are made of metal. Most likely, the Nubia Z20, like the Nubia X, will have two fingerprint scanners, which will be located on the right and left sides, in the middle. The presence of two scanners will allow you to comfortably unlock the main and additional screens of your smartphone.
