What can happen when a company famous all over the world for powerful and cutting-edge laptops instantly changes its concept and launches a line of gaming smartphones? Hmm, for example, the release of the bright gadget Asus ROG Phone 3 with powerful hardware and attractive appearance.

Already in July 2020, this device will hit the shelves of Russian stores, but before considering it directly for purchase, let's make sure of the pristine quality with the help of our review.

About the company and smartphones

Contrary to popular belief that Chinese products are of dubious quality, brands such as Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, as well as Asus have been debunking such an offensive myth for many years now. The latter, by the way, has existed for over 30 years (since 1989). It is noteworthy that Asus smartphones have been produced since 2007, but only now the releases have begun to receive due attention.

Zenfon and Rog smartphones have long been underestimated by the public. Since 2018, the popularity has gradually increased, now it is the # 1 brand in Taiwan, and the whole world is not far away! The brand's products are distinguished by their high performance (advanced chips, bright matrices) and meticulous attention to the smallest details in design. Still, starting with laptops and computers gave Asus a significant advantage. At the moment, the company's net income is approximately $ 623.8 million.

Appearance

The appearance of the upcoming novelty is, in fact, unusual. It is worth noting the impressive dimensions of the Asus ROG Phone 3 - 171 x 78 x 9.9 mm. With each month of 2020, smartphones are getting taller and wider, and this device is unlikely to lie reliably in small palms, each time trying to fall. (The exact weight is not yet known.)

In this case, the brand has attended to the introduction of expensive quality materials. The body and display are covered with tempered glass, resistant to damage. However, at the same time, slip and soiling of the model increase. They decided to make the side faces aluminum, on them, according to the standard, there are a volume swing and an unlock button.

The developers did their best to improve the ergonomics of the Asus ROG Phone 3. The photo clearly shows that, thanks to the streamlined edges, the back of the gadget is less prone to scratches. The front part is represented by an almost frameless screen. The development is famous for its unique color rendering, brightness and low power consumption. However, the disadvantages of an expensive screen are fragility, fragility and harmful PWM effect. Although the last point is quickly resolved by the "Reading Mode" function (yellowish screen). Also Asus did not skimp on Corning Gorilla Glass protection (version not yet known).

The organization in smartphones on OS 10 has also undergone some metamorphosis: the automatic creation of a Smart Group for the most used applications, custom sorting and changing of icons, as well as a convenient push-up notification curtain.

The multifunctional system will be supplemented by the author's shell Asus - Rog UI. Her presence is easy to spot. For example, swiping the screen up opens a menu with all installed applications, and not the usual Google assistant. For users who value their own safety, the developers offer an additional lock with AppLock and Hide App.
