Due to the narrow bezels, the developers moved the fingerprint sensor to the display. As a result, it turned out not very convenient. The sensor works very slowly, plus it does not always work.

But the face recognition function works well, the only problem is that you need good lighting. In the settings, you can select the preferred way of identifying the owner (fingerprint, biometrics). Another interesting feature is Smart Lock, automatic unlocking by geolocation (if the tablet is at home or near a trusted device).

As for the protection of personal data, the Samsung Knox multi-layer security system is responsible for this on the tablet. According to the manufacturer, Knox will protect against hacker attacks and malware infection.

Camera

In general, taking pictures on a tablet is usually useless. Still, you won't be able to get decent pictures. In this regard, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is rather an exception to the rule. Of course, you can't do studio shooting on it, but the photos are decent. And it's not only about the characteristics of the camera itself, but also in a special application - night shooting parameters, selfies can be set manually.

Unfortunately, in the night mode, the pictures are blurry and indistinct, no adjustments can correct the flaws. There is no autofocus or flash function.

The video capabilities are also very modest. The camera is useful for chatting with friends or in the Google Duo app, but a regular smartphone will cope better with shooting videos.

Battery

The battery capacity is 7040 mAh, slightly less than the 4 version. Even so, battery life is impressive. In video viewing mode, the tablet will last 12 hours without recharging. So if there is nothing to keep children busy during a long trip, the tablet will be a good helper. The almost borderless large screen is perfect for watching cartoons or children's films.
And with the fast charge function, it will take about 5 hours to fully charge the battery.

One UI 2 with the ability to dim to protect the eyes has been replenished with new useful features such as:
